The City of Eureka's 6^th Annual Mayday Community Clean Up Event is this Saturday, May 12^th at 1pm. Volunteers will pick up litter at Halvorson Park (meet at the Sacco Ampitheater), Old Town (meet at C Street Plaza), PALCO Marsh (meet at the north end of the Bayshore Mall parking lot) and Elk River Wildlife Sanctuary (meet along Hilfiker Road before the wastewater treatment plant). Volunteers will be provided trash bags and pickers, as well as refreshments. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own re-usable gloves in an effort to reduce waste, but gloves will be provided.
