It is our honor and pleasure to thank you all for your incredible support for the mission and the staff of Humboldt Baykeeper. Your energy, both the green type, so crucial to funding our program, and your greener-world-making volunteer work, have made Baykeeper the awesome, successful group we all love.

2011 was the seventh and final year of service through Humboldt Baykeeper to protect our Bay, our Coast, and our community for our path-breaking original Baykeeper, Pete Nichols. He has been succeeded, most successfully, by Beth Werner, our current Baykeeper. We cannot say enough about either of them, and you can be assured that the organization continues to have strong, smart, bold, and effective leadership thanks to Beth, working with Baykeeper’s staff attorney, Michelle Smith, Policy Director, Jen Kalt, and Office and Outreach Coordinator, Vanessa Vasquez.

The Ecological Rights Foundation launched Humboldt Baykeeper in 2004. Our Board of Directors is so proud of Baykeeper, so happy to be associated with each and every one of its current and past staff, and so grateful to all of you for your generous and crucial support. Please continue to assist us in fighting the polluters and encouraging natural balance and abundance.  Here’s to a great 2012! More boat rides, more victories in the courts, fewer plastic bags, and more reverence for our maritime and coastal blessings!
