This month's Ocean Night features a presentation by the Wiyot Tribe about the environmental and cultural restoration of Tulawat.

Also playing is Groundswell. Three surfers set sail on a 68 foot sailboat guided by the Raincoast Conservation Foundation into British Columbia's Great Bear Rainforest where a pipeline and oil tanker proposal looms. The team explores waves and a rainforest full of life while learning of the potential irreversible consequences of this project from local First Nations leaders. Groundswell beautifully and profoundly captures the spirit of this wild place and the passion of the Heiltsuk people who are committed to protecting it.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the movies start at 7 p.m. Ocean Night features an awesome raffle so don't forget to grab your tickets at the door. Ocean Night is a monthly, all-ages event sponsored by Humboldt Baykeeper, Surfrider Humboldt, and Ocean Conservancy. $3-5 dollar donation at the door, free for kids.
